Tamarind, in addition to its antioxidant effect also possesses the blood glucose‐lowering effect, a significant protective effect on renal complications that are associated with hyperglycemia and boosts the immune system as well. This shows that tamarind has a strong ability to decrease the oxidative stress and related disturbances plus it is useful against a number potential health risking disorders which include cancer, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, diabetes, epilepsy, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
